Product Family Description

  • λ/4 Surface Flatness Ideal for Imaging Applications
  • Improved Surface Quality to Minimize Scatter in UV Applications
  • Excellent Transmission from 0.2 - 5.5μm
  • TECHSPEC® Sapphire Windows Also Available

Precision UV Grade Sapphire Windows feature UV grade sapphire substrates with improved surface quality specifications compared to our standard sapphire windows to minimize scatter in UV applications. These windows provide high transmission from 0.2 - 5.5μm and, due to sapphire’s structural strength, feature thinner thicknesses than standard glass windows, minimizing absorption. In addition to its broad transmission range, sapphire has extreme hardness second only to diamond, high thermal conductivity, and resistance to common chemical acids and alkalis. Precision UV Grade Sapphire Windows also feature λ/4 surface flatness, making them ideal for use in imaging and laser applications, especially those in harsh environments requiring tough, durable protective windows.
