Low Group Delay Dispersion (GDD) Ultrafast Mirrors are used to reflect ultrafast beams without adding any temporal dispersion to the laser pulse. These mirrors feature dielectric coatings optimized to provide high reflectivity with minimized GDD around a narrow bandwidth centered at their design wavelength. They are generally designed with either a 0 or 45° angle of incidence for use in ultrafast beam steering applications. Compared to ultrafast silver coated mirrors, Low GDD Mirrors provide higher reflectance and higher damage thresholds, making them better suited for high power femtosecond lasers.
Edmund Optics has an expanding range of Low GDD Mirrors designed for Ti:sapphire and Yb:doped fiber laser harmonics. Our Low GDD Mirrors are coated through an ion-beam sputtered (IBS) coating process, ensuring high coating uniformity and durability, in addition to low scatter and absorption. Please contact us if your application requires a Low GDD Mirror with a custom wavelength, size, or other property.
