ISP Optics Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Windows transmit infrared light from 1 - 16μm and are opaque in the visible spectrum. Gallium arsenide is a tough, durable material with a Knoop hardness of 750, allowing for its use as a protective window in laser material processing applications where dust, metallic, or abrasive particle debris is expected. ISP Optics Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Windows are ideal for thermal imaging, forward looking infrared (FLIR), or CO2 laser applications requiring durable optics. Gallium arsenide is insoluble in water and chemically stable except against strong acids.
Note: Gallium arsenide is a hazardous material and should be handled with gloves.
